Announcement: Some changes are coming.

Here's what you can expect.

I’ve always approached this writing endeavor with open hands. I’ve wanted it to be not what I want it to be, but what God wants it to be. And this morning, he put some changes on my heart that I want to share with you.

First off, though, I want to clear something up. Over the last month, I’ve had talks with two people who are subscribers who had some misconceptions. Their comments went something like this:

“Your writing must be doing great for it to bring in enough money to fully support you. It’s great that it’s sustaining you enough that it can be your main focus!”

Friends, I need to be really honest with you: I don’t make any profit off my writing. Not on my books, and especially not on this blog.

Yes, it’s true that there is a paid version. But someone recently told me they thought I was bringing in five figures a month based on paid subscriptions, and I can tell you that I generate A LOT LESS than that. In fact, I GROSS around $650/month. That’s before Substack gets its cut and an…
