I got in my car at 5:54pm on Monday and started driving. The prayers started quickly after that.
I was headed to speak to a group of all kinds of addicts. Alcohol, sex, people-pleasing, you name it. I had prepared a talk that combined my story of hitting rock bottom with an invitation for all those listening to respond to God’s call to bring beauty into the world through their brokenness. Why did I change it? Why did I rewrite the whole thing during the 30-minute car ride to the event? Why did I call an audible? And how did it turn out? That, friend, is today’s post. And it’s based on something I sent out two Saturday’s ago that you might have missed that I need to hone in on.
