If you’ve spent any time on social media—especially Instagram or TikTok—maybe you’re as disgusted as I am.

I’ve written about it a little bit lately, but I am just absolutely sick and tired of Christian “influencers.” The frauds. The fakes. The people who want to pretend that life with Jesus is about victory after victory after victory. The ones calling you to “level up” spiritually. They constantly use phrases like, “you are the head and not the tail.” They tell you that if you’re experiencing any pushback to what you want, well that’s just spiritual attack. Because God forbid you actually get it wrong. No, that’s just the devil.

“God is pulling you higher,” they declare, while ignoring that sometimes—many times—God’s greatest work is done in valley of the shadow of death.

But valleys aren’t sexy. They don’t sell. Especially when they’re peddling a 10% discount code for a new line of faith-based clothing they just became an “ambassador” for. Because God definitely wants you to have co…
