Yeah, I know I’m on a break from writing. But I said I’m on a break from writing every day. And when something like what happened this week happens, especially something so relevant to what God has called me to talk about, I can’t keep silent.
So here I am. And this is a really important article.
Today, I want to give you five things to consider regarding the Michael Tait situation. Tait is the former member of the band DC Talk and most recently the frontman for the Christian band Newsboys. In January, he left the Newsboys quickly and mysteriously, and last week a report surfaced that he had been leading a double life for years—including rampant drug and alcohol abuse and even charges of unwanted sexual contact with other adult men.
This week, Tait responded. And for the most part, he said it’s all true. Apparently, he’s been in rehab since January and he’s owning up to his mistakes. Here’s his statement:
