Do you know who Asaph is?
Admittedly, I didn’t until this morning. Maybe you’ve seen his name while reading some of the Psalms. He’s listed as the author of several of them. But I’ve always kind of glossed over that part.
Not today.
And I’m glad I didn’t. Because I now understand what I’ve come to consider an important Psalm for both you and I.
That Psalm is Psalm 73. It opens with what I think is a common problem we all face: jealousy, envy, and anger. I know I do. I can look around at others and say, Why not me, God? I would steward those blessings so much better!
