Bryson Kessler’s life didn’t end up looking exactly like she thought it would.

After being in ministry for years, a divorce changed her trajectory. That raised a lot of questions and doubts, not only among others but a little in herself. Still, despite the setback, she found love again. She also found her purpose: a boutique that catered to women.

But finding your purpose and living it out are two different things. Building an empire isn’t easy and requires a lot of faith, as well as being willing to pivot.

In Episode 13 of “That Was Stupid,” Bryson joins to talk about:

  • Her origin story, and how she dealt with the doubters after her divorce.

  • How she got over her shame.

  • How and why she started her successful boutique, Clover + Bee.

  • When and how she pivoted in her business…several times.

  • An unexpected pregnancy.

  • The conversation that turned her into a podcast host.

  • And more!

Bryson’s bio:

Bryson is a wife, mom, and chronic entrepreneur. She grew up in Montgomery, AL, on a farm where she first learned the value of hard work.

When Bryson was 17 years old, her mom passed away after a short battle with cancer. Seeing a gym full of lives her mom touched simply by following God’s call on her life as a teacher inspired Bryson to one day use her life to make a difference to others as well.

After moving to Birmingham, AL, she pursued her lifelong dream of opening a boutique. Coming from a long line of business owners, Bryson caught the “entrepreneurial” bug early in life. One boutique quickly turned into two and she also launched a children’s clothing line that was sold in stores throughout the United States.

Ultimately, the boutique is now what you see today: Clover + Bee, which is going on almost 20 years (with some changes along the way). Bryson has met some amazing women with beautifully hard stories, as well. And now, she is sharing these stories through her podcast, Honey For Your Heart, in the hopes to create sisterhood as sweet as honey!

Bryson is married to Todd and they have four children, a dog, and a cat.
